Mission Ministries
Our youth participate in local mission efforts one Saturday out of every month.
Our church sends a mission team every year to serve and minister to others in different states.
In recent years we have performed mission work in:
Mississippi, Kentucky, South Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, New York, and Mobile, AL.
Mr. Jim Easterling is in charge of our Mission Program at Sargent Baptist Church.

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA |

JUNE
2008 |
We are now planning for our 2008 World Changers trip and 35 people have signed up to go this year!!! We are going to Huntsville, AL the week of June 21st through June 28th. If you would like to get involved in missions, come and join us on this trip. The cost is $300 which covers your travel there and back, lodging, and meals for the week. We will go out Wednesday evening as a church group so you will need just a little extra spending money. |

JULY 2008 |
A mission trip is planned for July 21 through July 25th. We will travel to Tennessee and do missions at Ocoee Resort. Plans are to work at a local shelter along with visiting the elderly and plan a Wednesday night service for campers at the local camp ground. We will also have a hospitality table set up at the river for people to come to know what we're all about -- serving our awesome God! |

Last year we had a great local mission week. We painted the outside of a home for an elderly lady. We completely redid a roof on a family's home in Sargent. . All of this was with the Lord's help. |
| UPDATE |
What a success our Local Missions Week turned out to be. We accomplished so many projects with the Lord's help that week. We did approximately $11,000.00 worth of work to homes in our community for a mere $721.44. The Lord blessed us with so many donations of what we needed. |

WELLSTON, OHIO |

JUNE 2007 |
We sent a group to Wellston, Ohio for a week in June. We did outreach and VBS at a church there. We left on Saturday, June 23rd and returned on Saturday, June 30th. Training for this trip, along with training for our World Changers trip was held on Friday, June 22nd at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home Gym. |
| UPDATE |
We had a great time. The VBS that was held at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church went great. There was an daily average of 42 to attend, which is good because this area is very rural. We also did an outreach to the community to get new people into church. God is so good to us. We had safe travel there and back. |

EVANSVILLE, INDIANA |

JULY
2007 |
We had a group go to World Changers July 14th through July 21st. We went to Evansville, Indiana to help with construction. If you have never been on a World Changers trip, you should give it a try. You will never be the same. |
| UPDATE |
We were blessed with safe travel there and back. It was a wonderful week. We did alot of evangelizing this week in the community around us. There were 40 people that came to know the Lord that week. |
